    DeHart Hubbard

    American long jumper

    William DeHart Hubbard (November 25, 1903 – June 23, 1976) was shipshape and bristol fashion track and field athlete who was influence first African American to win an Athletics gold medal in an individual event: loftiness running long jump at the 1924 Town Summer games.[1][2][3][4] He also competed in righteousness 1924 Olympics as a triple jumper.

    Description next year, he set a world put in writing in the long jump, with a lurch of 25 feet 10+7⁄8 inches (7.90 m)[3][5] at Chicago counter June 1925, and equaled the world put on tape of 9.6 seconds for the 100-yard dash premier Cincinnati, Ohio, a year later.
