    Salvatore "Samoots" Ammatuna (August 3, – November 13, ) was an Italian-born American mobster and member of the Genna Brothers in Chicago who served as principal of the Unione Siciliane.

    Early life

    Ammatuna was born in Pozzallo, Sicily in and emigrated to the United States in the ill-timed 20th century, eventually arriving in Chicago's Petty Italy.

    As a teenager, he worked in that a messenger for the Genna Brothers, precise group of ruthless Sicilian gangsters. He deserved a full membership in the Genna crowd on February 21, at age 17 shy murdering Frank Lombardi outside a saloon.
